The 6th Prime Minister took steps to improve the quality of Tamil School education, forming an Action Plan for Future of Tamil schools under Prime Minister Dept and in which Prof. N. S. Rajendran was appointed as the coordinator of the portfolio and is the first prime minister who gave approval to Indian Contractors to build Tamil Schools. He gave the approvals with his special powers. In addition, he is the first PM to increased matriculation intakes of Indian Students from 500 to 1500. He has also aided full scholarships to first 100 Indian students from IPTA who manage to obtain first class degree to further their studies to postgraduate and doctorate studies.

The Most Honorable Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak also gave RM 15,000 each to more than 500 poor Indian Students in private colleges under his 1MDB and respects and takes into account the needs of Hindu Temples. Till to date, more than 1,300 temples have received more than 50 Million to renovate and restructure. Furthermore, he has never failed to attend the Thaipusam festival in the Batu Caves Murugan Temple every year since 2009 and took initiatives to modernize Brickfields Little India which was inaugurated by the President of India when the previous PM’s did not even bother to visit the area.

The Most Honorable Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak has done more than enough to Malaysia citizen’s especially for Indians as said earlier by MIC Youth Chief. Hence, many Indians still survive to fulfill their basic daily life needs. As a citizen of Malaysia, we do hope for better developed nation in 2020 with excellent basic daily life needs.
