Marupadiyum A Contemporary Tamil Stage Play

 

Malaysia renowned No.1 playhouse King ST Bala and the scholar of Iyakunar Sigaram K Balachandar and who has introduced more than 100 talented actors and actresses and has 25 years experience in Malaysian Arts Industry, completing a practical stint under the renowned director Padmasree Dr. K Balachander for his 101st movie“Poiye” geared up with Marupadiyum a contemporary Tamil stage play in town. The Marupadiyum is presented by Fenomena Seni Pentas.

The Marupadiyum was staged from 17th April 2015 till 19th April 2015 at Auditorium Kompleks Budaya Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Tun HS Lee, Kuala Lumpur which resides next to the Traffic Police Station. Stage play lovers attended it on Friday and Saturday from 8.30 p.m onwards and Sunday from 3 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. The Marupadiyum a contemporary Romantic Comedy touch Tamil stage play was supported by the Department of Culture and Arts, Kuala Lumpur.

“Marupadiyum has been stage played 15 years ago. Now, it has been stage played again. The area under discussion of Marupadiyum is about rebirth and it is not a Tamil movie at all. There are 7 actors acted in the Marupadiyum. It is another theatrical touch of mine and dissimilarity with other stage plays performed before because every stage play has its own unique and not to be forgotten, presence from Anbu Illam made the event more pleasant to eyes,” said Malaysia No 1 playhouse King Mr. ST Bala.

The castings of Marupadiyum are Nageshwar as Chitraguptan, Vaani as Dr.Saratha, Ravin as Mr.Prakash, Yega Sri as Chellama Vijaya, Aravin and Ganeshwaran as Pratap, Mr. Nandha Kumar as Chandran and SoupFM renowned Vijaya Thamarai who attracted audience’s catch as Punitha. The Director of Photography and Audiography is Mr. Sivaji and the music composed by MyWood well-known V Sundra.
