Curry leaves can strengthen the stomach, helps the digestion system to function properly. It also avoids indigestion and helps in curing diabetics and kidney related diseases. You should not avoid eating curry leaves. You must chew and eat them completely to get maximum benefit. The curry leaves make Rasam as the best medical tonic.

Asthma, kidney stones, heart diseases, liver diseases can be cured by garlic intake in Rasam. It also helps the blood circulation by stopping the thickening of arteries. Amount of protein and vitamins such as A and B present in garlic can keep fever and lung diseases a few miles away.

The pepper in Rasam or Indian soup helps in curing diseases such as fever, flu, impotence and nervous related diseases. Headache and joint pains will be reduced substantially by consuming a good amount of Rasam rich with pepper.

Rasam with a lot of mustard seed can prevent dizziness. Stomach related diseases can be reduced as mustard seed can help to keep the stomach clean.

As we are facing raining season, we can see many cases of fever, influenza and other related ailments. Rasam can help to keep these diseases away from us. During summer, we may face dry tongue, too much coffee and tea effects can be cured by taking Rasam in our diet.

All these benefits can be received by taking the Rasam. However, it is not recommended to have a lot of tamarind in any type of Rasam.
