6th Prime Minister Najib’s Leadership

Endorsed by MIC Youth Chief

“I fully and completely endorse Malaysia’s 6th Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib’s leadership compared with to all other previous leaders of the Barisan Nasional.”

According to Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) Youth Chief, he proudly announce saying that, Prime Minister The Most Honorable Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak has given MIC a hope for the betterment since taking over the country in 2009. “I am an ardent admirer of Malaysia’s the 4th Prime Minister’s leadership but I firmly believe the 6th Prime Minister and the 5th Prime Minister of Malaysia has done more for Indians compare to previous Prime Minister,” said Tuan Sivarraajah.

Despite that he also clarify that he is not attacking the 4th Prime Minister but supporting the 6th Prime Minister and giving credit to the 5th Prime Minister for starting a transformation and looked at the Indian plight, which had been ignored for many long decades before. “The 6th Prime Minister’s slogan “Nambekei” which known as belief has given hope and confidence to Indians in Malaysia and I am listing below several firsts by the 6th Prime Minister of Malaysia as examples of the path paving ways he had changed our mindset.”

The Most Honorable Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak is the first prime minister who introduced 1 Malaysia concept which gave confidence to people on the Barisan Nasional coalition after many years of silent discriminations and to apologies for the discriminations as he stepped up as a Prime Minister on 3rd April, 2009 and no one had expected him to apologize for his party’s previous errors, but to the surprise of many, he did. In his speech, he had mentioned “Past is past. I can transform the Indian Community. Please trust me and join me in doing so. We shall all celebrate the successes together”.

The 6th Prime Minister gave special focus to improving the poor Indian’s Lifestyle, Education and Citizenship and announced two ministerial appointments – after 35 years of BN Rule in Malaysia, Najib was the first to announce 2 ministerial positions in the Cabinet to represent the Indian community. Meanwhile, he also formed and chaired a special cabinet committee (CCIC) to look after Indian affairs, a Special Indian Task Force (SITF) to tackle problems facing by Indians. About 7,000 Indians had been issued blue Identity Card under SITF and Secretariat for Indian Empowerment (SEED) allocating RM 18 million to help Indian entrepreneurs to start participating in business.

The Most Honorable Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak offered RM5 million to train Indian students who obtained low grades with skills training courses. This is the first time ever in Malaysia history and introduced TUKAR and ATOM schemes to transform small sheds and grocery shops to the next level. The 6th Prime Minister is the first PM to allocate 2 billion Amanah Saham Satu Malaysia shares, especially for Indians and to take heed to improve Tamil schools allocating RM 10 Million in every year’s budget. From 2009 to 2013 the ruling government allocated RM 540 Million to restructure, relocate and renovate Tamil Schools in our country. Added to this 7 new Tamil Schools license has been approved.
