A New Born Infant Needs Up To RM 50,000
A newborn baby boy named Keshaan S/O Selu Raja plea for heart disease donation to good hearted souls. The estimated cost of Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Drainage Surgery is around RM40, 000 to RM50, 000. He is born on 13th April 2015 at Hospital Sungai Petani, Kedah.
Baby Keshaan born with Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection, also known as total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage and total anomalous pulmonary venous return is a rare cyanotic congenital heart defect in which all four pulmonary veins are malpositioned and make anomalous connections to the systemic venous circulation. A patent foramen ovale or an atrial septal defect must be present, or else the condition is fatal due to a lack of systemic blood flow.
Baby Keshaan transferred to Gleaneagles Medical Centre (GMC) on 22nd April 2015 to do the surgery. After the surgery baby Keshaan is safe and in a recovery situation yet he still needs funding for further medical assistance.
Mr and Mrs Selu Raja mortgage their gold accessories for their 1st newborn surgery where husband works as a Mechanic in a car workshop with the salary of RM 1, 200 only while the wife is a housewife. In addition, they received a sum from the assist of their friends and relatives. The amount collected through toil and paid as pre-payment for the surgery. The parents of Keshan seek aid from Penang Hindu Association (PHA). The PHA paid RM 10, 000 as pre-payment.
