Referring To Mr Kesavan Velu’s Question-22 September 2014
How do you think business networking can help me Sir? Where do I find business networking sessions for Indians?
A service club or service organization is a voluntary non-profit organization where members meet regularly to perform charitable works either by direct hands-on efforts or by raising money for other organizations. A service club is defined firstly by its service mission and secondly its membership benefits, such as social occasions, networking, and personal growth opportunities encourage involvement.
Groups like Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis, NGO’s and political parties are organized around the advancement of service-orientated cause. For networking, this is a plus point. It stresses long time relationship and community involvement, which it should be at the top of your list as a business person trying to get more business through networking.
Yet, we have to understand that members don’t provide business right away as they hold off and watch what u do. At times new members tend to flee away after getting what they come for without the social interest.
If you’re an impatient person, then service groups will not be a good suggestion to you. The longer time you are there, the more trust you gain and more business flows to your way.
I will like to remind you again, never run away from your purpose that is always making successful business. Every successful businessman should be focused sharply in their goals. Yes, we also have to involve in charity service every now and then which completes you as a businessman.
